Tips for Employers

Just a few things to keep in mind before you attend the Job Fair

Success story from last year’s Job Fair

Two years ago, four area industry partners joined forces to create the first Wake County Hospitality Job Fair, specifically for jobs in the hotel and restaurant arena.

The event included 80 employers and over 3,500 available jobs and attracted over 800 job applicants. Because of its success, organizers are again sponsoring the Wake County Hospitality Job Fair and this year opening it up for attraction and service partners in the industry.

"We’re hoping that many hotels, restaurants and other hospitality partners will be represented,” said Dennis Edwards, President and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau. “And again we’re promoting the Job Fair to thousands of potential job seekers. It’s a great opportunity to hire some of the best and brightest in the industry.”

The date is Thurs., April 2, 2020, at Raleigh Convention Center. A booth will be available for $150, which includes free parking and lunch for two (additional staff members may attend for an extra $35 each which includes lunch.)

FYI—translators will be on hand at the Job Fair for those for whom Spanish language translation would be helpful.

We will provide any necessary accommodation necessary for people with disabilities.
